Kintetsu Preferred Hotels offers a wide variety of locations, from large scale major hotels to boutique hotels. Sanctuary Hotel New York is a recent addition to Kintetsu Preferred Hotels, and Mr. Robert DeEitt, Director of Business Travel & Leisure Sales of the hotel gave us a tour of the hotel’s rooms and facilities.
The hotel is conveniently located at 47th Street, 6th and 7th Avenues, and is a short walk from Times Square.
Upon opening the massive door, a chic space unfolded. The interior is decorated with Buddhist-themed furnishings and artwork, offering an escape from the big city so you can feel peace and tranquility. On the side of the front desk, there is a 24-hour beverage station with coffee and water, so guests can have a drink at any time. In addition, the lobby is furnished with comfortable sofas and a fireplace for guests to relax and decompress.
The rooms are decorated in warm oranges, reds, and browns, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Luxurious amenities such as European-made sheets and soft bathrobes demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring guests can unwind comfortably in their rooms.
Even though Times Square is just steps away, this hotel allows you to enjoy a quiet atmosphere without any hustle and bustle.
A sparkling chandelier, tufted leather headboard, and matching tufted bench further enhanced the room.
White shades with deep reds and browns accent the room.
The vanity has a white sink on a marble countertop, and the shower has a spa-like rain shower head. Mr. Robert DeEitt, who showed us around the room, said the shampoos are locked to prevent them from being wasted, making it eco-friendly and sustainable.
On top of the 115 rooms, the hotel has five restaurants. Of these, three restaurants serve sushi: Chemistry Room, a popular, authentic Omakase spot among locals, Sushi Lab, which serves unique fusion sushi, and Sushi by Bou, another popular omakase restaurant that has several locations across the United States. All other bars and restaurants were also quite busy, including the rooftop bar Haven Rooftop, where guests with KIE reservations receive a complimentary American continental breakfast in the Media Room. As a benefit of the KIE rate, guests also receive a 10% discount at Haven Rooftop, Chemistry Room, and Sushi Lab.
Rich decor, well-loved restaurants, a quiet yet stylish boutique hotel with an urban essence, and its overall unique character and charm makes Sanctuary Hotel New York stand out among the large chain hotels.
The KIE Rates include a 15% discount off the best available rates and no facility fee.
The hotel offers great convenience, located near Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and more. If you are staying in New York City for either business or leisure next time, please give this hotel a try.
