ETIAS stands for European Travel Information and Authorization System.
Originally scheduled to start in 2020, it was gradually postponed and was to be introduced in 2024, but has now been postponed to the middle of 2025.

ETIAS is an electronic application system, similar to ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), which is required for entry into and transit through the U.S., and is an electronic procedure that will be mandatory for travel to the 30 European countries that have introduced it.
