KIE’s Commitment to SDGs

Last Updated : 08/03/2024

KIE's Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

At Kintetsu International, we know sustainability is a critical topic for the future of the travel industry.  We’re committed to operating our business in an environmentally responsible way. That includes internal efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.

And, we’re asking ourselves, what more can we do?  Here’s one answer: We are pleased to announce a partnership with Delta Air Lines to help fund Delta’s purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to reduce Kintetsu International’s  carbon emissions from air travel on Delta operated flights. SAF reduces the lifecycle carbon emissions of aviation fuel by up to 80% as compared to conventional jet fuel.

We’re proud to make this commitment with Delta to help reduce the impact of travel on the environment. Doing so aligns with our core belief that we all play an important role in addressing climate change and ultimately improving the communities in which we live.

KIE USA and the entire KNT-CT family are committed to providing integrated sustainability data, tools, and solutions, which enable our employees to offer more responsible travel choices. This includes offering travel practices such as eco friendly air, car and hotel options with carbon offsets and initiatives to reduce environmental impact. By encouraging greener transportation options, collaborating with sustainable suppliers, adopting technology solutions, and raising awareness among travelers, we are paving the way for a more sustainable and responsible travel industry.

The KNT-CT Holdings Group’s sustainability activities focus on 3 materialities and 13 priority measures.
