ESTA Fee Increase for Travelers to the U.S.

The application fee for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), which is essential for travel to the U.S., will be increasing on September 30, 2025. We recommend that those who are planning to travel apply as soon as possible.

The current application fee of $21 will be raised to $40. The new fee will take effect on September 30, 2025 (U.S. time).

This increase applies to all applications submitted and paid for on or after that date.

• Recommended to Apply by September 29: By completing and paying for your application by September 29, 2025, you can get an ESTA at the current price of $21. An ESTA is generally valid for two years, so applying early can help you save money if you plan to travel within the next two years.
• Existing ESTAs Remain Valid: If you already have an approved ESTA, you can continue to use it until its expiration date. There is no need to reapply.

We recommend checking the expiration date of your ESTA and moving forward with the application process early to align with your travel plans.
